Angapradakshinam is when pilgrims lie prostrate, and then roll around the temple, chanting the Lord's name. It is performed in the Vimana Pradakshinam, one of the pathways around the temple.
Pilgrims who wish to undertake the Angapradakshinam will have to bathe in the Swami Pushkarini, and reach the Main Temple Complex by 02:00 hrs(2.am mid night ) VQC-1 AT SUPADHAM )

According to the temple beliefs, `prayers' are of four kind - `anga pradakshinam', trekking the holy hills on bare foot, offering of hair and performance of kalyanotsavam to the Lord. Of them.
angapradakshinam' is regarded as the best way of fulfilling one's prayers as it involves more physical constraints. A devotee performing the `angapradakshinam' prefers to starve (upavasam) the previous night, does not prefer to sleep, have a holy dip in the temple tank (pushkarini) braving the cold weather at Tirumala and reach the queue complex before 2 in the morning with wet clothes
and roll around the temple precincts in fulfilment of his/her vow. Devotees, young and aged, irrespective of sex or economic status, participate in this ritual with utmost devotion.
Angapradakshinam is generally restricted to the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). It is also restricted when there is heavy influx of pilgrims.
